Through collecting, evaluating literature reviews, and synthesizing articles, Hidden in Plain Sight is a wooden card catalog highlighting ten Black inventors who have produced extremely popular and necessary everyday objects but have received minimal recognition for their work. Inside the catalog are manila folders that house the patent for the object, a card with the inventor’s name and information about the object, and a small, laser-cut wooden version of the object.
